This fair trade basket was handmade in Uganda where colorful baskets are traditionally given as presents for holidays and special events. The handwoven basket shows the detail and care that went into its creation. It is ethically sourced with a focus on a sustainable producer relationship, via the company Project Have Hope.

Handcrafted in Uganda
As the basket is handcrafted in Uganda, Africa, slight variations may occur due to the authentic nature. Each basket is then unique from any other as they did not come off of an assembly line, but were lovingly created by hand.
Raffia & Banana Stalks
Woven from raffia which comes from palm trees and is a renewable resource. The beautiful blue and natural tan raffia is made into a coiled design which twists around itself, creating a visually appealing pattern of color and texture. The interior fiber forms the core of each coil and is made with banana fiber. The raffia is then wrapped around it for added strength.
