Indigo Tie Dye Kit

Bring home the ancient art of indigo dyeing in a user-friendly formulation and at an affordable price! This natural dye process has long been used in many cultures around the world, including West Africa and South Louisiana. The unique characteristics of indigo dyeing make it easy to create wonderful resist patterns on fabric. See what patterns you can make!

This kit contains almost everything you need to do it. Just add water, a bucket and stick, and the natural fiber fabric you wish to dye! The kit contains enough dye for up to 15 yards/5 lbs of fabric or 15 t-shirts. Dye bath lasts for several weeks.

Included in this kit:

-20 g Pre-reduced Indigo Dye

-100 g Soda Ash

-50 g Sodium Hydrosulfite (“Hydro”)

-1 pair of gloves

-Wood pieces

-Rubber bands (2 sizes)

NOTE: You will need to supply: Large bucket or bin, long stick or ruler for stirring, water, natural fabrics to dye. Dyes up to 15 yards/5 lbs of fabric (approximately 15 t-shirts). Dye bath lasts for several weeks.
