Large Lidded Warming Basket

These beautiful baskets are handcrafted by Wolof women in Senegal, where many of the enslaved people in French colonies descend from. Baskets are sustainably made from cattail stalks and strips of salvaged plastic to provide color. With a snug fitting lid, these warming baskets are traditionally for keeping bread and other baked goods warm. They can also be used to store odds and ends, present a gift basket, and/or add a pop of color to your living room!
